New Brissie Fishing Hotspot : Fishing from Chrisco's ski pontoon in Fairfield. Day 1: March. About 25 catfish (to 34cm) and five bream (to 25cm). Around low tide was best. Day 2: March. 20 catfish (to 38cm), two bream (to 28cm), and one 57cm lure-caught dusky flathead! The first two hours of the runout was best. Day 3: September. 5 keeper bream, a few smaller ones, 1 catfish, 1 jewfish(!). The last two hours of run-in was best. Day 4: September. Little flattie on soft plastic, couple of catties on bread. Running out to a very low tide, not great.

SEQ Landbased Fishing : Feb 2005. Maloolaba rock wall. 54cm flathead. Nov 2005. Canals, Scarborough. Small Moses Perch on plastics and bait. Nov 2005. Poo Chute, Pinkenba #1. Around low tide. 56cm flathead (Gulp worm), Sam's cod on rapala lure, a few bream etc. (no photos) Dec 2005. Poo Chute, Pinkenba #2. Two hours up to high tide best. Three bream to 33cm (Gulp worms). Busted off by some bigger things. Jul 2006. Poo Chute, Pinkenba #3&4. Two days. Not much happening. Couldn't buy a fish on plastics. Jul 2006. Scott's Point, Margate. Two small flatties on red Gulp worms on the sand. No luck from the rock platform. Jul 2006. Poo Chute, Pinkenba #5. Walked up wall 150m. Up to, and after high tide, midday. Small bream on bait. 29cm bream on red Gulp worm (v. light jig). Legal whiting. Big squid foul hooked. Strange hairy sea slugs.
